This relocation is completely in line with the renewed office policy, which was developed after KPN's takeover of Getronics end of October 2007. Getronics' new board of management announced a move towards centralisation for housing shortly after the takeover. In addition, Getronics will reduce the number of offices to five regional buildings in Zoetermeer, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Nieuwegein and Apeldoorn. Furthermore, existing datacenter locations and a number of offices with a logistics and/or production function will be kept. KPN buildings will also be used selectively. Getronics expects to save millions of costs with the move towards centralisation on office housing.
